Final Stop #18 Good Intentions
This is my last and final stop of this food tour that was supposed to last 3 to 4 months and ended up lasting 10 months due to my hectic schedule this year. I usually cap these at 10 to 12 stops, but this year when I realized it wouldn't be just 4 months I decided to extend it because I usually do a Summer Food Tour also.
I came into Good Intentions entirely because it was recommended to me by someone I met while shopping. This place was recommended because I was talking to someone about being gluten-free and like a lot of times, people confuse being gluten-free as being the same as Vegan.
My review as follows:
We came in for brunch. The restaurant is really nice and really big inside. There is also a small amount of parking beside the business in a joined lot, and there is free (limited) street parking.
Fortunately, for me our waitress was very forthcoming and told me not much on the menu was gluten-free and being that they used a lot of Vegan products that had gluten containing fillers it wasn't safe for me toneat there being a Celiac. She said it wasn't safe to eat anything that was cooked in their kitchen, including just "eggs".
I was really appreciative of her honesty. My husband has no allergies, so he had the vegan burrito wirh "chorizo." and, it was huge. It was very filling and he liked it. He said it tasted really good also. Neither of us are Vegan, we were just looking to try a new place.
I also ordered the Bloody Mary, but unfortunately, that also contained gluten (in the mix Zing Zang or Zing Zam (however it is spelled) listed on the menu, so they made me a Tito's vodka with soda water instead.
Overall, I really liked the restaurant, I really wish I could have tried anything, but I get it, especially when it comes to Vegan foods. I had a very similar situation at my other Vegan stop on this food tour.
Anyhow, I still think it's a great restaurant, though. I would recommend it if you have no dietary restrictions. If you are a Celiac I wouldn't.
They have brunch and different specials during the week. It's pretty cool you just have to check their Instagram page.
I love the colour and design of that dress!
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous wearing it.
The vegan burrito with chorizo sounds yummy (I'm a vegetarian).
I love looking at all of the beautiful photographs above.
