 Stop # 4 in my Wellness Food Tour - Orlando because we need food to feed our soul!

So, this was my 4th stop in my Orlando food tour. 

The Wilson is a place I found out about because of their Instagramable umbrella setting. That was the whole reason for going! Surprisingly, the Wilson was located in Celebration right near a hotel I had stayed at about 4 years ago, and it was actually close to my current hotel. It was a pretty rainy day, but you know what? I was like, I am here for the umbrellas, and we don't need to see the sky anyway! So when we asked to be seated, I asked to be seated where the umbrellas were which were outside. Becuaae it was the middle of the day and raining it was vacant outside. There wasn't even a bartender. 

So, like I usually do, I am like, "can you take a photo of my outfit" to my husband. So, the menu for lunch is not complex. It is simple, like really simple. We order a gluten-free pizza, and my husband, here he goes with the hot chicken sandwich. It's a pretty simple lunch. I ordered my drink and I took a photo of it when all of a sudden the manager runs out the restaurant towards us. He confronts me, not my husband, just me, and accuses me of holding a professional photoshoot.

 I am literally taking a photo of my drink at the table when he comes out. He is completely confrontational, and I have seen this before. I actually am bringing this up because service at the Wilson was great. The hostess was great. Our waiter was great. This manager ruined this stop because he came out getting confrontational with me, a woman who was doing nothing and bothering no one taking a photo of my outfit and drink. I included the exact photo when he ran outside. 

Since like I said, this has happened to me before because I have been a Bloggeria for over 10 years, I immediately said no, this is no photoshoot, I just want to show what food I have ordered. And he is looking very agitated and he is like saying "no, I know what this is, I know what you are doing". I say, Hello, are you OK or something like that and he storms off. What the F was this about?. I won't ever know. 

What I can say is I won't return to the Wilson, unfortunately. How are you going to have a whole Instagramable area set up and then get mad when you see someone taking photos there? Literally, this is the only reason I ever found out about this place. The menu for lunch was so basic and honestly, on this food tour I had about 20 places that I wanted to visit, but I had only 3.5 days' time and I chose this place for lunch because of these stupid umbrellas.

 I am going to be very honest, it was a free advertisement. I pay for my meals on these food tours, and I highlight the restaurants, and my reach is pretty good for a smaller bloggeria. Literally, all he had to do was sit there and let us eat our food and take my photos of said food and my outfit. They would have had a good review. 

Ok, so, the pizza was gluten-free, and it was a little under cooked, BUT it was because I had a lot of toppings, and they actually put a nice amount of sauce on the pizza. The toppings were good. It was well made. I liked the pizza a lot. I liked the cocktail as well, but I couldn't detect any presence of alchohol in it, so I only ordered one because this can be a good thing or a bad thing. 

My husband loved the hot chicken sandwich. So, basically, the manager messed up. It's very sad. I because time and time again, I see places that certain women in particular will take a lot of photos to select one and those very photos end up highlighted on the restaurants main page, but when my husband tries to take a couple of photos of me or I take photos of my food I get confronted or ran out or lights in the restaurant get dimmed. 

So, I didn't feel welcome there and I must say not all stops will be good, but this was some abnormal behavior for Orlando. There are content creators, influencers, bloggers and everything in between from the I-4 corridor down to South Florida. Simply, this was about me which is why the manager never confronted my husband, just me. 

So sorry to the Wilson. 

Celebration, you guys can check my past aircation, they have some good places around there, but you can skip this one. But thank you especially to the hostess who was not only friendly, but helpful. I injured myself in the Summer and I left my pillow there in the chair and the kept it until I came back to get it a few hours later when I realized I left it. That's really good customer service.
