Airie in The City: Introducing Beacon Rooftop at JW Marriott Water Street | Vintage Styling LOTN

Welcome to Tampa's highest public rooftop Beacon, located on the 27th floor of the JW Marriott Water Street. Not only is it the tallest rooftop in Tampa, but second highest in the state of Florida!

The views are everything, encompassing Tampa's downtown area, the Hillsborough River and some of the Channelside area where cruise ships port. Beacon Rooftop offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as two bars serving craft cocktails. The outdoor seating is outfitted with the same lush plant decor you can find at most of the Water Street restaurants, lounges, hotels and condos.

The side of the rooftop which you would will easily be able to see the sun set over the bay also can see as far as ti St.Pete when it is clear if I am not mistaken, I thought I saw downtown St.Pete, but I could be wrong. In true form tonight was the opening night (unofficial open-soft opening); However, according to what I was told you can find yourself able to dine in next week on the "true grand opening".

Below you will find some of the menu to share which is not listed online yet. Two sit outside or inside is the question? I really depends on your style, right now it is Autumn in Tampa and it has been raining this week so we are coming in at about 88 degrees with a light breeze; it's enjoyable. However, if it is raining you may want to opt to dine inside. From what I can see all of the tables are relatively small because Beacon serves small bites. The menu is marked denoting which items contain gluten, nuts, dairy etc which is always helpful. Everything below is gluten free except my husbands Bao Buns.

Tito's Mule

Beacon offers 2 Charcuterie Board options which contains six meat and cheese offerings or eight. The board is assembled by the Chef and you can not change it, however I was able to omit the Focaccia bread due to my being a Celiac.

Indoors

These potatoes are baked, not fried and topped with caviar and salmon roe. This was a plus for me because many times when I order caviar they are served with house made chips or fries. In the event that I am served fries I usually can not eat them so this was actually the first time I was able to taste the caviar alongside the potato which was in a similar fashion to a French fry. It was pretty good!
