Weekend Date Night at Anchor and Brine! Cropped Tank + Single Breasted Split Hem Rib-knit Pencil Skirt + Kitten Heels

Tonight was a pretty chill evening. We ventured out to try a new "restaurant" that has been heavily pushed on social media. I have been playing around with colors this week and felt like wearing this color combo, the skirt looks much more pink in these photos, but its actually like a mauve or blush pink. I picked up some cute items while in Lake Buena Vista (Disney Springs Zara) and have been wanting to incorporate them into my fall wardrobe. I was also wondering if any of you guys would be interested in a Zara haul...

Anchor & Brine- Tampa Waterside Marriott
So, this is all my opinion (as usually) The restaurant Anchor and Brine has been heavily promoted by local bloggers as a new "hot spot" in downtown Tampa at the Waterside Marriott. Now, I have been to this hotel a numerous amount of times and I have a pretty clear understanding of what restaurants are here. This technically is not a restaurant. The hotel Tampa Marriott Waterside has a huge lobby. On a day like today or most days that lobby is fairly empty and unused space. If you were down here for say, Gasparilla like I was this January the entire space is utilized almost to full capacity.

That being said, I thought that it was great that they decided to utilize this lobby and bar and promote it as a restaurant. The bar now has a raw bar behind it, you basally can walk right in off the street with no reservation and sit down anywhere and someone will bring you a menu. You can also sit outside and view the water. There are other restaurants here in closed off spaces so it pretty much seems like although they have different menu's and specials all of the food is being cooked in the same kitchen.

vodka, rose petals, and tonic water

Why I liked it here... The lobby is so huge and open if you don't want to sit next to people you don't know or who are loud you don't have to. It is quiet and since it is a lobby the tables have outlets and usb charging ports. The lighting is great so if you are like me and you love taking photos you will get great shots without disturbing anyone. And lastly, the food was really good. Everything was very very good and I have eaten at the other restaurant here; It didn't have any appeal or aesthetic, but this fares a bit better since their lobby is really grand. They have really clear gluten free options, its not a huge menu, but what they have is really good- not sub par in the least bit.

I just wanted to be clear about referring to it as a "restaurant" because you really are in the lobby. When we parked valet the valet person told us there was no such restaurant even at that location named Anchor & Brine. If you check it out check out the patio- that is the nicest area to be honest and you have a great view of the water.
