Food Tour - Chic Eats Winter Park & More 2024 Stop # 8 AVA MEDITERRAEGEAN | LOTD Striped Knit Dress + Louis Vuitton

So it's a beautiful day today in Winter Park. I have planned out a really chic brunch on a place that right now...I am obsessed with, Winter Park. I am a country girl at heart even though I moved to the city and cute walkable towns are my vibe especially when they are as chic as Winter Park is!

I have to admit I have a closet full of striped dresses. It's like a freaking addiction for me and I don't know why. there is something about nice clean stripes that just looks so put together and it says "quiet luxury".

Other things I love about styling stripes is that it's simple and effortless and it is hard to do wrong. So, I have this tan and white number which to me was perfect for brunch today. It's fitted so I mean not great for a lot of walking, but walking here is pretty slow paced and you don't have to walk that far.

So, here we are on another stop of my food tour of Winter Park and more. This food tour started in April and honestly has taken most of this year because I have to set specific time aside to drive to Orlando and stay there.

Back in the day my husband and ai could drive to Orlando and come back to Tampa in 45 minutes, but it isn't like that anymore and I-4 was even a mess 25 years ago. It's just more TRAFFIC now that makes it so much worse because we have so much more peope living out here, not just in Tampa, but where I was raised in the Seffner Mango township.

So, during the pandemic I just started planning my food tour and I became obsessed with AVA MEDITERRAGEAN. Like, I love Mediterranean food and my diet  an be described as the Mediterranean diet, but you guys know I am a proclaimed Flexitarian, but I love that the food is (a lot of times) gluten-free and it's prepared simply. And you have to have that good olive oil ❤️.

So, I fell in love with this place and I was so excited to finally be walking through those doors (while looking cute).

So, my experience like pretty much all of my experiences in this area was positive. It was everything I expected and more. They served me and omlette and it wasn't like any type of omlette I have ever had.

Looking at my post, I want to be there again, but ai have to keep pushing through my food tour because just like Tampa, Orlando is booming with growth and new restaurants, but the difference is thee price from Tampa to Orlando.

I am trying to figure out if I have ever had oysters for brunch before and I am unsure...my stomach and senses can be wild sometimes and I can not have seafood in the afternoon (most days), but I loved the oysters (in general I am an oysters lover).

This bread is not gluten-free, but it is complimentary.

So, this was my omlette and it had feta cheese, bell peppers and ham in it. It sounds simple, but the way it was cooked stood out to me also. I also have never had feta cheese in an omlette and I always have feta in my fridge so this was a new craving unlocked (ai am also an omlette lover, they are gluten-free so it's easy).

At this point I realized I ordered too much food. I love Horiatiki salad and you know I could only have a few bites of this at this point. I was sad, but it was delicious and my husband atkeaat shared it with me.

My husband's food was the Shakshucka with pita bread.

And this also was his brunch dessert. He loves Baklava so I wasn't shocked that he ordered it.

Brunch was perfect. It was pretty refined and stylish in the sense where I guess they had a very similar type of guest that was eating there if you get what I mean...Like, the entire area is very young Millenial hipsterish. My dad always makes fun of my husband and I because he says we are like this and I am not going to act like I didn't recognize just in general a lot of us have this vibe. It's kind of why I was drawn to Wintwr Park, it is a very cool and non touristy area.

Would I return to AVA, I don't even think that's a question.

It's a yes.
