So, this is the 1st stop on my new Food Tour. I had originally planned to add this to the food tour from earlier this year, but ai decided at this time why not just start a new one because there is so much more ro share!
With that being said welcome to the Chic Eats Winter Park & More Food Tour 2024. I will try to keep these posts as concurrent as possible, but my year has been reqlly hectic and I am on a tight and strange posting schedule. As usual, you can always search my posts by tags and keywords.
The AC Skybar Lounge has been on my list of places to go since sometime around 2022. You may ask what made me want to come here? Um...hello, this awesome view resting atop the 26th floor of the AC Marriott Hotel in Downtown Orlando. Now I usually frequent a lot of different areas of Orlando and it has been about 8 years since I stayed down here. I was excited to come here and in case you are wondering, I stayed at this hotel. I will be sure to tell you all about that in my recap.
I started this food tour in December and I planned for it to be done by April, however life started life-ing and everything went super H.A.M. so here we are one week before July and I am trying to wrap this up ASAP. During this food tour I have stayed at now three different hotels. This is my 13# stop! I can tell you 100% there are 50 more restaurants I could add to this, but everytime I go to Orlando it is time consuming and I never have enough time to do what I came to do because I am usually battling extreme insomnia.

I can tell you 100% I came here for the view, and I would not return. While the view was awesome, it was not a great visit and I gave them two chances actually. I enjoyed the photos, but the Skybar wasn't a vibe. It was windy, there was a lot of trash, straws, and bar napkins on the floor outside along with a lot of hair. The bar inside was equally as gross. when I came to the bar to order a mimosa I went to take a photo of it only to be met with a lot of long brown strands of hair in which I asked the bartender to clean, I told her it would end up on social media and I gave her the opportunity to clean it up.
When it came to dinner at the Sky lounge our order was completely wrong despite the fact that everything was flagged for a gluten allergy. We advised them to make the Cesar salad with no croutons and flag as gluten-free " allergen" and despite being told and it was on our receipt, the salad did indeed come with croutons anyway. Cesar salad was bland and completely devoid of any salt or pepper. It had no taste whatsoever. It's probably the worst Cesar salad I have ever had. The Wedge salad was incredibly small for the price. It was just two small ends of a small iceberg head of lettuce cut in half and sprinkled with bacon and red onions. The marinated olives were 7$ and they gave us more olives than one could possibly eat. The mixed grill was good, but a bit overpriced at 27$ for what all was there. Overall, that was enjoyable. I love the views, but I am not sure why this place advertises food if this is the type and quality being offered.
Grilled chicken Cesar salad
had to be made twice due to mistakes
second time, I chose not to eat it because the chicken was still raw!!!!
I tried my hardest to get some decent photos of the food we were served, but it was plated so poorly this was the best I could do to get a presentable photo (by zooming way in). My dinner was so bad I ended up eating a protein bar instead that my husband had in his travel bag. This was my worst stop on this food tour.
Marinated olives
These didn't appear to be fresh. They didn't look fresh or tasted fresh and they gave me a ridiculous amount, like it was comical. They gave me enough olives to fill a medium sized pickle jar. I was like what am I supposed to do with all these freaking olives...
Insanely small and overpriced wedge salad. This can literally fit in the palm of my hand.
I don't even know what my husband ordered, but he said it was decent.
