Oubaitori 桜梅桃李
(n.) the idea that people like flowers bloom in their own time and take their own individual journeys; the acceptance
of not comparing oneself to others and
focusing on one's own uniqueness.
They earned their first Michelin star this year in 2024 right before I visited in the Spring. They do have a private and intimate omakaae experience, but honestly, if you visit in the afternoon like we did, you have the entire place to yourself anyway and you can sit at the counter.
This really is a nod to the "Tomato Girl Summer" trend which I never really understood, it just seemed like word salad to get people to spend money on clothes like the whole "Millenial Coastal Grandma" trend.
With that being said, I actually love Farmrio and I love this print and it was a part of a set, but the skirt sold out and they never made more so I bought the top during Black Friday last year. I do think it pairs well with jeans, but I would love to have the skirt.
This top runs large as you can see.
