Weekend Wellness at SVB: The Sarah Vande Berg Tennis & Wellness Center (Hosted)

In dedication to Sarah Vande Berg

This weekend I was hosted to a full day at the Sara Vande Berg Tenmis and Wellness Center along with my husband in Zephyrhills, Florida. Zephyrhills is right outside of the Tampa, Hillsborough county area. The state-of-the-art Wellness Center is located in a semi-secluded area that also includes a large subdivision. The wellness center has an open concept, so when you enter you will basically see everything and the service rooms are off to the left and right. With it being very open, it's easy to social distance, the staff wears masks, and they have a hospital grade air filter so you don't have to wear a mask if you are vaccinated.

The Sarah Vande Berg Tennis and Wellness Center is a world class athletic and wellness center located in the heart of Zephyrhills and this center boasts eleven tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, four padel courts, cryotherapy, salt room, sauna, sports counseling, fitness center, and a restaurant.

Some of the services they provide:

After my day and massage I was bendy and ready to practice yoga!

My experience: I am not great at tennis anymore since the last time I played I was a junior in high school, but I had fun working out and spending time with my husband. He actually has never played tennis with me and so it was interesting.

There are plenty of other options for play also and I think maybe next time I will try the beach tennis because if I fall I should be okay.

The Cryotherapy is pretty straight forward. You go in and spend three minutes from the neck down getting the treatment. Its quick and simple and you could actually do this before or after work any time.

The Salt Therapy was what I liked a lot. I think I just liked the room, how calm it was, it was kind of like time stopped. You just hear the sound of the salt blowing out the box and you are inhaling it. it collects on your skin, and for me my nose started running (which was a good thing). Over the next two days my allergies have been minimal when usually after being outside I am sneezing a lot and blowing my nose even more. My skin felt very refreshed after the salt therapy also.

The massage was peaceful. I really liked how the lights were on a timer to dim and then the massage is basically done by "candle light". The massage therapist asked me about what areas I wanted to target and I explained that I hadn't done yoga yet this week and needed my legs stretched and hips opened. Yay! she is also a yoga instructor so she really helped me out with that and I have been feeling so good since the massage.

Lunch at Vesh. So, here are a few details about Vesh by Chef Vesh. They are open for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Brunch on Sundays.

Since I was on a schedule I opted for the roasted tomato bisque and a mimosa for a quick lunch. Hubs had more of a rounded lunch that he loved also. The tomato bisque was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed it and its layers of flavors. I brought some home and it reheated really well. I had no issues with gluten accommodations and would try way more on the menu next time.

In conclusion the staff at SVB were beyond friendly and warm to us. I'm actually kind of jealous we don't have a center like this in South Tampa where I am. They are giving back to the community in a lot of different ways in Zephyrhills, but all of us Tampanians are welcome too!

They just wrapped up Summer camp with kids and teens. They have a five dollar gym pass for local residents. They offer catering from Vesh and can help with hosting events in their event space. The building is beautiful as well. The wellness services are fairly priced. I can imagine utilizing a place like this a lot and if I had kids even more because they would definitely be in some kind of sports program like I was growing up.

I think you guys should check this place out because one it's definitely fetch, but two, I know you will all love it!

This was a hosted event, all opinions are my own.
