This was a pretty ideal day in my life as a Tampanian. On this day, I wanted to go down to the museum to see the Bombax Tree in full bloom. This tree only blooms once a year's during Spring and you can enjoy it usually for about 4 weeks until all the large fleshy flowers have all fallen off.
This tree has been here since the 1960's I think (there is a plaque out there with details). Coincidentally, my husband and I took photos here on my birthday years ago. The time in which this tree usually blooms varies right probably due to climate change...it has been blooming earlier, but still in the Spring.
Anyhow, what a sweet moment for a suite life.
The dress I have picked out is just for this day as I usually do when I plan my looks.

400 Beach Drive Tap House
I have found out a few days ago, 400 Beach Drive Tap House is closing for six months for a major renovation and will be re-opening in the Winter with a new menu.
On my visit, which wasn't that long ago, it was this Spring, I was actually trying what was their latest new menu. To my surprise, they had gluten free bread.
Gluten free Lobster "roll".
This usually comes on a toasted roll, but since I had to get the gluten-free bread they put it on what they had which was a bun. I have never had a lobster roll before!!! Although I am a huge foodie, I really have never been that into lobster. Once I started seeing Lobster rolls and thry gained a lot of popularity down here I was like well damn, now I want to tey that. I to this day have ever been to a restaurant that had an option to make one gluten-free until this day. Now I can tell you the expectations were high because I have seen so many food porn photos and scenes on Food Network where people are eating these amazing toasted rolls.
So I am going to give it to you straight. I liked it, but it wasn't what I expected. So the good thing is that it wasn't mayo-y. They used a small amount of mayo, an acceptable amount for me. It wasn't seasoned, not even with a little salt and pepper. I would have liked more seasonings and herbs and different things on it. Like, if I made this at home I know exactly how I would make it. The next thing, since I have Celiac Disease they couldn't heat up or toast the bun which makes a huge difference with texture and flavor from a hot buttered bun. I would eat this again, but probably not this version.
My husband had a hot chicken sandwich. He has no allergies to any food so he usually eats what he wants.
So, before we went to brunch we went to the local market at the pier.
This woman sells these hand made hats for a fairly cheap price and if you were to buy these online they would be about 3x the price. I love straw hats so I bought 2 for myself and one for baby Yue.
This is the hat for Yue it was 14.99. It looks so cute on her too!
