Summer restaurant Tour 2021: A Visit to Six, JW Marriott Waterstreet: Knotted Backless Gigot Ruffle Sleeved French Toille + Jimmy Choo Sandals

Tampa is certainly growing and as a result we have so many more options for date night, lunch, and brunch. I have been exploring all the new restaurants that opened during the last year now that the CDC has relaxed its rules about indoor and outdoor dining. In May I started my holiday restaurant tour for Memorial Day which ended with dinner at the Dewey (Beachside). Tonights visit is to downtown Tampa's newest district "Waterstreet". Six rooftop bar has been open for only a few months. I remember back in 2014 when I visited Soho Manhattan for two weeks that was the first time I had been to a rooftop restaurant and bar and there were none in Tampa. Well, now you have your pick because they are everywhere.

LAVENDER FIELDS

So, as far as this restaurant goes it was underwhelming for me and not because it wasn't nice it just felt too much like I was in a hotel. The restaurant does feel like a "hotel restaurant". The restaurant is on one side and the hotel pool with the unobstructed rooftop views is on the other side (that's where the photo below was taken). The restaurant side was small, and you basically have to get lucky to get a seat by the wall to enjoy the view. 

The food was very good, it wasn't great, but very good. I thought everything was prepared well, the dinner menu was small so I didn't have a lot of gluten free choices; The salads had things in them that I don't eat. Overall, I thought the food was exceptional. Everything tasted great and I love seafood. It was a good date night though and worth a visit.

Worth noting this place will be lit for Gasparilla with their rooftop space being so vast on the poolside so keep that in mind.
