On Halloween night I was invited out to experience Axel by Cirque du Soleil at the Amalie Arena Channelside. I have never been into Halloween due to the way I was raised so I was excited at the thought of finally being able to experience Cirque du Soleil with my hubs. Going to Cirque du Soleil has been something that we both have wanted to see together since we were in high school, so we were super excited; We absolutely loved the show. We didn't know that there are over 80 versions of Cirque du Soleil and Axel was the latest version touring the United States. Surprisingly they don't have a lot of stops on their tour so if you are one of their stops it is worth the visit.

Overall, the entire experience was like a fantastic sensory overload. There was live music, lots of colors and lights, pyrotechnics, ice skating, a love story plot, as well as acrobatics. From the start to the finish we were totally drawn in and loving the experience. I have video on my Instagram for anyone interested. This was a hosted event with Yelp!
No food was provided, there are a few places to get some items from vendors at the Arena from what I briefly saw. With my being gluten free a lot of times it is easier to go somewhere I am familiar with on the way to the show for a quick meal.
