Happy Monday loves! Today I have an off schedule post for a hosted event that I attended. We were invited out to the Iberian Rooster for a 6-Course Prix-Fixe Tasting Menu
Hosted by Executive Chef Andrew Silas. I have been to a similar event at the Iberian Rooster in St.Pete here.

I was told that the wings were dusted in a corn flour and cooked in a dedicated fryer by our waiter. Since I always get glutened by wings I decided to test them and they were not gluten free up to 20ppm. They smelled absolutely amazing, but I had to give them to my husband.

Course I
Deviled chickpea on warm grilled pita, olive relish, ribbons of English cucumber
Course II
The traditional Goan Patty. Seasoned Macau mince meat with sweet peas and fingerling potatoes baked inside flaky pastry. Served with our house "Rooster Sauce". For the vegetarians, our curried vegetable Pattie.
Course III
Panzanella
Shaved Iberico ham, Pao Doce croutons, honeydew, cantaloup, roasted golden beets, and Bucheron vinaigrette. Substitutions of toasted tempeh for the ham, for our vegetarian friends.
Course IV
Roast Cornish Hen with fried okra, all atop a warm corn pudding and smothered in hen pan gravy. (Gluten Free)

Tomato pie and black eyed peas succotash w/ garlic ice-cream
Course V
Seared Scallop with fennel beet slaw, cucumber gazpacho, and a warm sweet potato biscuit. (Gluten Free w/out biscuit).

Grilled portobello steak with our kale caldo verde and coconut rice.
Course VI
Mango pineapple bread pudding with Home made vanilla ice cream and bourbon caramel sauce.
