Dinner at Gorkhali Kitchen, Tampa Fl.

If you want a specific location other than just "Tampa" it is in Hunters Green although, I am not sure they even call that area that anymore, but that's what it was called all my life. It's all the way down Fletcher Ave. All the way until it looks like you are going into the forest.

Like a lot of places in Hillsborough County, this is not in Tampa proper, so I would like to make note of that because it most likely will be a long drive for most people. I live in South Tampa and for me it's almost 50 minutes to drive here if traffic is good. I love coming here so much, but the drive keeps us from coming frequently. The restaurant does however get a lot of business locally.

This place honestly has the best food in this county when it comes to like Indian food. I know it is Nepalese as well as Indian, but their butter chicken is so good and that's what a lot of people order as typical Indian food. For me, I found to really like the Nepalese dishes.

It's very similar, but different and I guess it's the spices or the combination of the spices and curries. Either way, we really love this place and we started coming here before all the hype - I am not a stranger to this area because 1. I was born here in this county and 2. I went to Armwood and the schools here and in South Tampa (honorable mention to Bloomindale) were our biggest competition.

And I went to USF.

I worked out here as well for six years. Anyway, y'all check this place out if you haven't by now. I promise you it is worth the drive.

Gorkhali Kitchen specializes in Himalayan, Nepalese Cuisine with some Indian dishes as well.

Their signature dish is the Momo's which my husband ordered everytime. Another signature dish is the Himalayan Jimbu Chicken seen in this video.

I love coming here the food is beyond delicious 😋. They have a LOT of gluten-free options.
