This was one of 2 gluten free options on the New Orleans pre-fixe menu. It said jambalaya. This was not Jambalaya.This was a really really poor execution of it in my opinion. It looks more like a Bouillabaisse and it has no traditional tastes or features of Jambalaya. I was quite disappointed in this to be honest and I ended up eating 1 shrimp, 1 scallop and one mussel. I could have asked for another dish, but it actually seemed like to me if they didn't get this dish right then the other was also probably not going to meet my expectations (it was redfish). It also was my husband's night so I just let it go (shrug). I think they know this is not a good representation of Jambalaya to be honest.
My husband had all three courses and he said it was good. You know, good enough, his main he loved which does not surprise me because it is exactly what he loves. I wished I could have tasted his food, but it was not gluten free. Below you will see he also got an additional free birthday dessert and this was Vegan and gluten free. It was fantastic. Michael's on East has I baker in house and they do very very well with baked items.
