Fashion Week Tampa Bay 2024

This is the fashion show that I have been been waiting for all year and I am happy to say it was great. I have been attending Fashion Week Tampa Bay for 12 years!!! It's the perfect start to Fall also because every year it falls almost exactly to the date of the first day of Autumn!

Tonight's event was held at The Motor Enclave events center which was very very nice. I have been out here many times obviously,  I lived out here in the country all my life (although this is technically still considered Tampa if you are from here its still considered the country).

I haven't been to this events center and it's pretty cool. I was hoping for a different type of fashion show tonight right, I mean by that I know it's very popular to have fashion shows in air hangers (which there are out here because there is also a small airport for small airplanes out here as well), but I know this year a few designers had shows at auto areas. I don't know what they are called, but the aesthetic is basically having the show lit by the cars and the models walked the "runway" which would be the tarmac.

Forgive me if I am using the wrong terminology lol.

So, I wasn't sure what type of runway show I would be in for, but it was a long way from bow they started showing the 17 year evolution of FashionWeek Tampa Bay.

Anyhow, back to this event center and the actual fashion show I loved it. I didn't mind driving to this area as it is familiar to me. It was raining and there was also some additional traffic, but once we got there we loved it. We checked in and enjoyed what all there was to see (and offer). The fashion show did start late maybe due to weather or traffic, but once it started everything was succinct.

There were two lines that stood out the most to me and I will list out all of the designers featured in this years fashion show as well.

Also, in this post I am sharing the two lines that to me were my favorite and most cohesive and ready to wear out of what I saw. I have photos and videos of all six designers featured and I will share all six in my City Life Vlog For September.

I think the word that stood out the most tonight (in my.mind, not the fashion show) was "evolution" which has been a word that has been heavy on my mind this whole year as I am now a year older and I guess hopefully wiser, although I guess still young and naïve in some ways.

My dress gives way to those feelings as I purchased this dress over ten years ago when I moved to South Tampa and I went through so much during that time. That was like, when Tampa was very very "noice" and IFYKYK. This was the most popular dress at the time I bought it and while I have never met my match with a dress, this one intimidated me.

So, it stayed in my closet unworn all these years. I pulled 3 "lewks" for the fashion show, but this one was my number one. My husband was like wear the dress and I wanted to wear the dress too.
Do, I did the dang thing.

So, you know what, I wore it. I like to have things that are unique and this dress to me at the time was unique. I can not even tell you who designed it because I forgot, but I literally still had the tags on it as of the day I took it off the hanger and wore it and I can see if that leads to the design.

It's well made, the fabric is fresh and I mean that colloquially.

It has Autumn colors and you know I got to give my hubs props because he went to Louis Vuiton to my SA and picked up my heels when I was sick in bed (and brought me Chick FIL A).

So, IDK, maybe I'm having my own little Cinderella moment.

Designer & Brand Line-Up

✨️Aarushi Pratap

✨️Elizabeth Carson

✨️House of Colors by Sana Hassan

✨️Lenkasnova by Lena Slukhanova

✨️That's Key by Design by Keyshonna "Key" Miller- McNeil

✨️Urban Native by Erik Wise

You will see below the two lines that had the most impact on me. I would wear outfits from both lines right now today if I was able to buy anything!? I checked some websites, but it seems you have to go into the store to buy things? I am so unsure. But...yes, I could slay all day in these two that I am sharing in this post.

First is: That's Key by Design by Keyshonna "Key" Miller- McNeil

While not everything is my style like the outfit above I still liked it. I still thought it was my style and I would wear it no lie and I would probably kill it.

I wear things all the time that I am unsure about and it isn't the style that makes it it is the confidence and originality of the item. Like, I really just steer away from trends and just do my.own thing.

So, I liked this line because it had a lot of Fall colors, but the added sky blue was the calm. The designers theme was the Sahara Desert by the way which I can clearly see and the line is cohesive and the fabric doesn't look cheap.

I thought everyone brought it in this runway and I just loved it even if maybe I would not wear all or any styles.

And this woman is just gorgeous,  I mean I literally want this fit if I look this [sick] like her. The color is fabulous against her skin and who doesn't love velvet!

I am a girly girl so this is probably the main dress I would wear off the rack like now sans the boots. I loved the flow of the maxi dress and the feminine ruffles. It's already the style I gravitate towards and her body is a lot like mine, she is just taller so I could see this was a look I could definitely wear NEOW.

Okay, this look for Winter. Yes and please. It's lovely and so adorable (like me). I need some links to buy now.

Thanks!

I loved their finishing poses. Just perfect!

So, the next line is the second one which I found to be the most cohesive and ready to wear which is Urban Native Co. by Eric Wise who I got to see in a designer panel in 2023 at Fashion Week Tampa Bay. I am impressed actually with his evolution since 2023. I was a actually the most impressed with his line. His fabrics looked the most practical and the most sustainable although I would need that actual information because you guys know I really am adamant about eco friendly fabrics, processing, ethical practices and B Corp Certifications.

Me, I loved this look. I wanted it as soon as I saw it, but there is no available links where I can buy things unkess I go into the boutique. Us Millenials want it now and if it was available tonight, I would have gone home with it.

This second look is my vacation style to the max. Its laid back, it's casual and it's a little sexy.

Its Demure and cutesy.

I would just make my husband match with me. Give me 14 of them.

So, there were a lot of items I really loved and liked and some I didn't care for due to my own ethical standards in shopping. I am impressed with the venue and the evolution Fashion Week Tampa Bay has had over the last 13 years that I have been attending. I was so happy to be a part of it.

And I needed a night out ❤️. While I don't need to do any shopping, I am open to the idea? I don't have a shopping addiction, shopping is addicted to me!

XOXO
