So this was pretty much the best eating on the ship which is why we ate at Izumi 3 times. It's price efficient. For instance, this bowl of my favorite soup was o ly three dollars. Izumi has a hibachi side and a side for regular a la carte dining so everyday when they opened at five pm we could come in and eat sushi and miso soup as a late lunch. Everytime we dined in we got something different. One night was hibachi and two nights we did a la carte. Their gluten free options are also very good (for example the miso soup is often not gluten-free at most restaurants because not all tofu is 100% free of gluten).

There are two other paid dining experiences on the ship, Chops Grill and the Chef's Table dining experience. I have done both multiple times and the food is the same as the food served in the main dining room, the way it is cooked and plated might be more eelevated, but in general, the food is the same. In my opinion it isn't really worth the upcharge.
On bigger ships like Oasis class ships with Royal Caribbean they do have more restaurants that are a lot better as I was told by the servers in the main dining room.
