Anniversary Vacay Anna Maria Island (AMI & SRQ) 2022: Chicka Boom Yellow Floral Jumper and Foodie Stop #3 Whitney's

I have literally packed this jumpsuit for vacation 6 or 7 times and due to the pandemic I just never got a chance to wear it. It is currently not in stock, but I have the details below because routinely these items I show are restocked. I am not a fan of the material because it feels cheap, but I love the design and pattern and colors. I feel kind of like a colorful bird.

Since I was on vacation I had to pack sensibly so I did not get to bring the shoes and bag I would have worn (black Aisha's and my yellow bubble bag), but this works for me too.

Bag: Louis Vuitton, Over The Moon (this was actually the bag I was supposed to wear with this, but last minute I opted for the small black toiletry bag because it was functional for the trip.

Earrings: C/O Ettika

#3 On our foodie tour during out anniversary vacation is Whitney's. Whitney's is definitely another local spot that has a reputation being spread word of mouth as being a place you should check out. Well I did do my research and I liked what I saw.

The restaurant is cute and kind of like "millennial chic" I guess. It is open air which is great of you want to be outside or maybe halfway in between. At 6pm live music started and that was pretty good. I loved the patio area for watching the music or eating. It's pro ably really enjoyable when it's more like 82 degrees and not 100. Unfortunately, that's pretty much all the good things I have to say other than my husband loved their fish tacos better than foodie stop #2. The presentation and composition of the tacos were better and it was healthier.

The Sarah's Soda cocktail

I tried the Sara Soda cocktail and it was just ok, the peach mimosa slapped and I subsequently had 2 of those.

CORN BISQUE salsa verde, queso fresco

Although the presentation of the corn chowder did not look appealing it tasted good. It was pretty much just slapped in a bowl and served.

CHILLED SEAFOOD PLATTER lobster, shrimp, oysters, Crab Louie, lemon, drawn butter, mignonette, cocktail

Okay,  so the issues I had are all easy to fix. Our table wasn't cleaned and they told us to seat ourselves. Then someone came up and asked did I want it cleaned and proceeded to clean half of the table and never bring new plates. The plates on the table were from whoever was there before (visible crumbs were on them).

A lot of items were not available like the oysters and they ran out of the precooked shrimp that come in one of the salads. As a result I was offered more crab in my seafood platter and chicken for my salad.

As for the seafood platter it was served on a metal tray with ice and it melted almost immediately. I am not sure why they thought putting lump crab on lettuce on top of ice was a great idea because it basically just sank into the melted ice water. Did I mention the salad was wilted. Overall, disgusting. Most of the extra crab I was offered to replace the oysters ended up floating in ice water with wilted lettuce.

Chopped lettuces, marinated tomatoes, manchego, house croutons, champagne vinaigrette.
gluten free

Not much on the menu is gluten free so I got cornered into ordering a salad. Not even the ranch dressing or other creamy dressing is gluten free so I had to get the housemate champagne vinaigrette (which was good). The salad looked like a basic salad that came out of a bag pre-made; I make better looking salads at home. The eggs as well were mangled (I guess someone had trouble peeling them).

In conclusion, I think most people would probably like this restaurant, there isn't much to be desired for the Celiac. The main issues I had didn't even concern being a Celiac though so there is that.
