New Year's Foodiva Food Tour; A Visit to Snowbean | LOTD

Here is to a new year! Happy 2026!

Year of the Fire Horse

This is a simple explain of this: The Fire Horse energy favors bold moves, independence, and seizing opportunities, leading to potential financial gains, career advancement, and personal growth for those aligning with this dynamic year.

I don't know about you, but I need this kind of energy in my life right now. This also does remind me of the Good Luck New Years dinner we Black Americans do in the South in particular we actually are supposed to serve pork with our black eyed peas and greens. Pork because the pig is forward moving and creating progress which is positive. The horse and the pig in both remind me of this.

I also read that it applied (for Chinese New Year) to the horse, goats, Tigers, dogs and dragons.

This food tour starts with stop # 1 which was Kappo San and this post is here.

The Snowbean Cafe is this super cute Cafe located outside of Winter Park in Orlando, Florida. They have this magical little love lock area overlooking this large lake and airport. It's very serine and in my opinion it's worth a visit just to see this. The Cafe itself is pretty cool. They have a lot of Korean food items as well as coffees and teaspoon and pastries.

You can even peruse their selection of instant noodles and get hot water to eat them up and just enjoy the view while eating ramen. For me it was lacking in the sense there was nothing gluten-free! So, my husband got coffee and a pastry and I was a bit jealous lol. I didn't have anything. Anyway, this was a very cool way to start the new year and doing this was special to me. Now, you can buy a lock at the Cafe if they are available, but I just bought a lock beforehand and brought my own.

Next time I will bring a package of instant pho so I can have something for myself while hubs indulges on pastries! You technically don't have to buy anything to place your lock, but in my opinion you should. You do have to enter the Cafe to access the lovelock patio.
