I like to share some of my now vintage items now because after moving 4 times I am shocked I have any left. I am a firm believer in buying nice clothes and keeping them and re-wearing them over and over again.
So today, I am wearing one of my favorite blouses. Simply put...they do not make clothes like this anymore and not for the price I paid for this. This blouse is almost 20 years old. Almost. I think it's probably like 17 so I am rounding up.
And I have paired my blouse with some of my more recent items as well. The thing I love about this blouse is the colors and the contrast od the cherry blossoms to the royal blue background.
So IBD has been open for a few years, 2 I believe, but I had to wait to make this a "Airie in the City" post because when they first opened it was advertised as a Japanese Sound Bar featuring Japanese Whiskey.
So, while they feature Japanese whiskey they have an open bar and they have a cocktail menu as well. I have taken some photos of the menus because they are not on their website because it changes weekly according to them.
Be for warned this place is so popular despite its quiet demeanor even on this day when it was raining like crazy it was fully booked. So, I highly advise making a reservation!
The restaurant is extremely small and it is basically inside an old house. We were lucky enough to get some seats and enjoy the atmosphere and vibes. Outside is a lot larger and it's nice, but like I said it was raining heavily.

This crudo was unlike any crudo I have had and I have had a lot because it is what I mostly eat. This one had some flavors and textures I did not expect and they were enjoyable. The tuna was great and it was fresh and it was not served cold, I guess it was more like room temperature, but it was really good. It had these crunch berries on it as garnish on the top which brought a lot of depth.

St.Pete FL
This Japanese Sound Bar has been open in St.Pete for four years just this summer, and many people in the Tampa Bay area do not even know about it. From live jazz to mood lighting to a large selection of whiskey, they have managed to create a vibe like no other restaurant I have experienced. To boot, they have a small menu of food (many gluten-free items) that will make you want to smack your mama because it's so delicious. The Michelin Guide just opened up to all of Florida, and this place is a great contender.
Well, I know nothing about that and I don't drink whiskey. I waited a little while longer and I heard they may have some light bites and I was like ok...but is anything gluten-free. Remember...that is my whole reason for being here. My sole purpose is to find places that not only have gluten-free options on their menu, but they also can accommodate those with Celiac Disease like me and then I share that with you all.
So, finally after checking and bunch of times I found out there was a slight chance that they did and that was all that I needed to head out to St.Pete on this day even in the rain and I must say I had an interesting time.
I ordered a craft cocktails and for me, I do enjoy coconut so I had one that was made with coconut and it was delicious.
So, everything below is gluten-free if I remember correctly. Their menu has gluten-free denotations! They had no issues accommodating Celiac Disease orders. I wish this information was available online and I would have been there sooner, but like I said that is why I do what I do. The menu is small to large bites like tapas and surprisingly, they had a lot of gluten-free options.
What I can say is that the food was a 5/5 hands down. The menu was just small because the focus is also on the drinks. I would come here over a lot of places because of its uniqueness. They also hold events, in particular Jazz nights with live music which we love.

This was undoubtedly the best pork belly dish I have ever had and it had little fat on it and was all savory meat and it was gluten-free! I tried not to eat too much of it because usually when something tastes as amazing as this did people will run from the back and say don't eat that we made a mistake! This was the real deal. Now, their menu changes weekly so if you have the time, check this one out. It's amazing.
So, these dishes below my husband ate because I do not like Brussel sprouts. Needless to say he was blown away and these were labeled gluten-free as well, I just do not like Brussel sprouts.
The dessert was not gluten-free, but you know, like everything else these per his opinion were a 5/5.
So, was there anything we didn't like?
So, I loved the food and the drinks thr vibe service etc.
The only thing I didn't like is there is no parking lot and the street parking is where ever you can find it. So, while this is NOT something that would usually bother me, the road that runs juxtaposed to the restaurant is a busy one way street and you have to cross it if you park across the street. It isn't safe and on the day I was there it was also raining profusely.
Parking was free, but I felt like I was risking my life trying to get to this restaurant. Is it a deal breaker...no actually because you never know where you might luck up and find parking. There are houses and alleyways and side streets all throughout that area and you just may get a space on the safer side of the road.
The parking was also free on the street.
This restaurant is usually extremely busy and I think for good reason. It was one of my favorite experiences this year and it was not expensive. I highly recommend In Between Days. This place is the kind of place locals love and if you know you know. I wish they published some type of mock menu or gave info saying they can accommodate Celiacs because it is the only reason it took me four years to come here other than that when they first opened it didn't seem like they actually served food.
Anyway, I am ending with this dessert that our waitress highly recommended and I can not remember if this is a cheesecake or a flan, but I think it was a flan.
