Gone are the days when this place was a hidden gem. We spent our lives coming here as natives and never told anyone when they asked "OMG what beach were yall at?" and now it's blasted on everyone's feeds because, well, yall know why. Anyhow... Hurricane Milton also did a number here as well as the surrounding counties last October, and our favorite beach looks completely different now. But this place is still our favorite because even before anyone knew it, it was our slice of heaven, and I know it was like that for other native Floridans as well. I will still keep the gate to keep a little bit, lol 😆 because I can't help it, and I'm petty 😉
Today was a long and stressful day making our way from Orlando to Tampa to Anna Maria Island. We were both quite tired and we had dinner plans soon so this was the closest to a sunset shot that I got my whole trip because as much as I love the Golden Hour, I love to be able to eat outside in good lighting beachside as well.
I planned so many outfits for this trip and it was so unbelievably hot I actually couldn't even bear being outside. The highest was 100 degrees and the feels like" temp was 110.
Nah. We won't be doing that. So, while I had the most premium view the sun and the heat and this flesh eating Vibrio that is killing people in South Florida wasn't it.
I have been through enough and I like my peace. So let's enjoy the view.

It's not huge on views, but the food and drinks dis not dissapoint and I knew they wouldn't. The great thing about being the Foodiva in my family is bringing my husband or other family members to amazing restaurants.
He didn't know what to expect, but he loved it. And he actually thanked me for loving low key restaurants like this because you k ow it doesn't always have to be fancy smansy. For me, the thing that matters the most is that they either have a gluten-free menu or can accommodate those with Celiacs Disease (and they had both).
And that is why I move so frequently between the food sceen of Orlando and Sarasota because I go where I can safely eat.
I am not on a food tour for this vacation, but I am currently posting my Sarasota Food Tour in my regular posts so don't forget about it.
