My experience:
Right off the bat another mistake is made. I ordered a cocktail and I did not recognize the name of the vodka so I explained to him, specifically, that I have Celiac Disease and I drink Tito's Vodka because it's certified gluten free, can the bartender please make this cocktail with Tito's. He said it would be NO PROBLEM. He comes back with the drink and something made me check the other brand just incase they still used it and sure enough the other vodka was made from BARLEY. So, I asked him if the drink was made with Tito's like I asked and he said No. I was like omg, but luckily I hadn't drank it and I told him hey, that vodka is distilled from barley and I am allergic to barley (that's gluten). So he took the drink back and remade it. It's kind of a really big mistake to make considering I actually warned them and it kind of made me wonder if they were going to take me seriously with my food order.
Chicken Thigh, Shiso, Tare
Pork Belly, Shiso, Tare
Gluten-free
Now I can say my husband said their ramen was some of the best ramen he has had. He LOVED the ramen. My sushi...not so much. I ordered the Chef's Selection and it was not premium or even delicious. The rice tasted over a day old that was used to make the nigiri. The actual fish was overly dry and kind of hard on the edges. The combinations of flavors they used on the top of the sashimi were very off putting. I didn't even finish it and when my husband tasted it he didn't want it either. Next great thing to note is that the Robata Yaki
Chicken Thigh, Shiso, Tare is gluten-free. The Tare specifically is gluten-free. I also had that and the pork belly and I thought the pork belly was really delicious, but the chicken seemed a little under cooked.
This restaurant no doubt is getting hyped up hard on social media by influencers. They post influencers constantly working with agencies to make their restaurant look great. A lot of the videos make this restaurant look VERY DIFFERENT than how it really looks. Better than how it really looks and it's the same with the food. If everyone is getting a free meal of course they are going to say this place is the best.
It was mid at best and I mean that. Orlando has so many sushi restaurants and I have been to a lot and this place was mid. The ramen was the best thing that I have to write about. Is the restaurant nice in aesthetic and design? yes. It is obvious they put a lot of time and energy into making the space beautiful, but the effort isn't matching in the food. If I had any advice coming from someone who works in this field...stop sponsoring so many Influencers who will hype your restaurant up regardless of the experience they actually will have. I was really excited to come here after finding the Instagram page for the restaurant and I only had so much time in Orlando. I could have gone anywhere and I came here and right off the bat there were issues. The food/experience just didn't meet the expectations that were set.
