Today we were invited out to taste and experience True Food Kitchen at Midtown before they officially open their 40th restaurant on Monday February 28th. A Plant High School grad, Christine Barone is now the CEO of a major healthy eating restaurant chain called True Food Kitchen.
Midtown is a new concept in South Tampa or Midtown Tampa to be exact in between Dale Mabry and Himes Ave; It's right off the interstate on both sides. Midtown Tampa has been open since May of 2021 staggering stores and restaurant openings monthly so there is a lot more to come even into 2022.
True Food Kitchen is an open restaurant with a scratch kitchen offering allergy friendly and healthy foods that include dairy free and Vegan options. Street parking, garage parking, valet is available as well as outdoors seating.
We had a really great time which is no surprise because we love Midtown. The restaurant does have a very large open seat dining room as well as patio seating overlooking the park area at the center of Midtown which has views of their latest art installment as well as new restaurants Jeffrey's Coffee and the Chocletier and Sephora.
Pretty much everything we had was gluten free below. It was healthy, simple, and fresh, but elevated enough. I loved the patio and it was a great way to start my birthday month getting a healthy dose of sunshine and healthy food.
