Xilo MexicanGrill-Hall on Franklin

Tonight we tried out a new restaurant at the Hall on Franklin called Xilo Mexican. I had high hopes because most Mexican food is pretty gluten friendly.So here is the run down according the owner:

They make their corn tortillas and they are GF, but they also use tortillas that are remade and can't guarantee that any of them are safe to eat.

They don't do tacos on lettuce.

The bowls are the only thing the recommend to eat if you are a Celiac.

They do not have any type of vegetable to substitute the tortilla chips that come with the queso.

The chorizo queso tested negative for gluten

All in all it was a pretty lackluster experience, the bowl I had left a lot to be desired. Its very clear they don't really have any accommodations for those with food allergies or care to, yet they have items marked KETO which really were not keto. The chorizo queso was amazing, it actually was the best queso I had ever tasted, but I had to eat it with a spoon.
