Winter Beauty Must Haves for Heatless Natural Haircare

Beauty Must Haves

We are dead in the middle of winter and the wind and temperature changes can cause havoc on our hair. How many of you have opted to just throw on a hat when you walk outside? All of these things add up and can damage our hair. This post will give you some tips on how to protect and re-hydrate your hair, so that your hair is not battling the elements every time you walk out of the door! And put down the hat and embrace some heatless effortless styling! Here are some beauty must haves that I use to take care of my natural curls and have fabulous hair all winter long. These products contain natural ingredients (some products are certified organic) and will leave your tresses hydrated and full of luster. I use all of these products for heatless hairstyles and they all can be found in at stores like Walgreens, Target, and CVS as well as other stores.

1.Kinky Curly Curling Custard- This is great if you have curly hair and you don't need to use much. I use this on my curls and this custard is like a jelly and has minimal hold. It will add lots of shine to your hair and define your natural curls while keeping them moisturized.

2.Kinky Curling Come Clean- This product will remove any residue from your hair without any harsh sulfates and it is gentle enough to use everyday. Come clean will provide you a "clean slate" to style your hair.

3.Kinky Curly Knot Today- Knot today is a great detangler, a wash out conditioner, as well as leave in conditioner. If you apply this to your hair in conjunction with the curling custard your curls will pop! The kinky curly trio is great for heatless hairstyles such as wash and go's which will give your hair a rest from heat styling.

4.Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie- This product is great for all hair types. It can be used on wavy, curly, or coily hair. I love that you do not have to use much of this product for it to be effective! Even if you have straight hair, after washing it you can apply a dime sized amount to both sides of you hair and then make two braids. You can take the braids out in the morning and voila! Instant beach waves!

5.Shea Moisture Moisture Retention Shampoo- This shampoo is great for over processed hair!

 6. Treseme Naturals-This is one of my favorite hair conditioners. It is effective and affordable and sold in most grocery stores. It will keep your hair hydrated, will not weigh your hair down, and mixes well with other products if you want to leave a dime sized amount in your hair for heatless styling.

7.Carol's Daughter Hair Milk- With this product you can reduce dry frizzy hair as well as "flyaways" and tame your natural waves or curls.

8.Carol's Daughter Hair Milk Pudding- This hair pudding is thick and creamy. This product is great for thick hair or ethnic hair. You can use it for styles such as twist-outs, Bantu knots, or braid-outs which will keep your ends protected from the harsh winter winds.

Its easy to see the key theme here is moisture, hydration, and heatless styling. How do you take care of your hair during the winter?
